Gov 2.0: Platform Cooperativism – Communities and Platforms
Summary
I have been thinking about the ideas and models around “Digital government” / “Gov 2.0” / “Government as a Platform” – and how governments can be more productive, agile, cost-effective, and be able to reach and serve all communities anywhere and everywhere. The term “digital” carries with inherent baggage of misconstrued notion that sphere of scope of “being digital” is restricted to “use of technology”; and side-effect of that is that a we strictly focus on technology to solve every problem and that we work in silos – where “digital” becomes yet another silo.
