Dr. R. Trebor Scholz, a committed researcher, author, and proponent of equitable and sustainable digital labor practices, holds the position of professor and founding director at The New School’s Platform Cooperativism Consortium (PCC) in New York. PCC, which also functions as a research institute within The New School, focuses on developing and advocating for establishing worker-owned and democratically governed online platforms, termed platform cooperatives. In addition to his role at The New School, Dr. Scholz has contributed as a researcher at the Open Society Foundations, the Berggruen Institute, and Mondragon University.
