Postscript on the Societies of Control
Summary
“Written late in life, after his major works, Gilles Deleuze’s Postscript on the Societies of Control is a footnote on the work of Michel Foucault, William S. Burroughs, and Deleuze’s own voluminous work with Felix Guattari. In the short 1992 piece, Deleuze describes the mode of power and control in late capitalism, in which corporate capitalist governance supersedes the former governmental power of the sovereign nation-state.”
