Urban Data and the Platform City

How will urban data, and the platforms through which we access and commodify urban data, affect the way we live in and govern twenty-first century cities? This short chapter offers a concise outline of how urban data is fundamentally altering the the structure of urban governance. The chapter also explores how both local governments and non-governmental actors should approach the new frontier that data-based governance offers.
